I really want to love this bag. I've used it on holiday abroad and I have to admit it's the perfect size, well made and good looking. (Nylon will never make it look super trendy, but clean lines and gold hardware keep it from looking too sporty.) I found the little LED flashlight very handy when dealing with unfamiliar locks, keys, keyboards, etc. on our AirBnBs would have. So for size, functionality and quality I'll give it a 5. But. Strap is TERRIBLE! It's quite stiff and uncomfortable due to the cables running through it as a safety feature. Worse, the metal latch that adjusts the length of the strap always seems to dig into my collarbone no matter what length I try. And perhaps the most awkward part is the hinge at one end of the strap. I think the logic is that the swivel should keep the strap horizontal. However, in my experience, the swivel does nothing but constantly twist the strap, causing the aforementioned metal to slide down my collarbone even more painfully until I stop unwinding it, literally every time I put on a bag. You can wear a coat or sweater, but I don't recommend it for summer trips with light clothing and an open neckline. If the strap was changed I would happily buy it in a different color as it is a really useful bag. But a shoulder bag for travel needs to be comfortable, and unfortunately this one isn't.
