I bought this turtleneck sweater for my 12 year old daughter who is very small, she is about 54 inches tall and weighs about 65 pounds. She still wears plus size clothes for little girls. went with size 12 (XL) so she had room to grow. I was surprised to see that I could easily wear it myself while wearing a women's dress (M). Needless to say it looked like a dress on my daughter I will be returning and ordering a size or maybe two smaller as it is well made and the material is very comfortable to the touch and great for layering. Update: my daughter loved the color and how comfortable it is so we kept it and she just ties it up and wears it like a tunic.
