Great idea. I also did this once with pillows and a pillowcase from Ikea, but without such good effects. In fact, I had to remove one of the layers to allow the pillow to fit inside the pillowcase. I sleep on my side and this keeps my head in the right position without being too hard. Before that I tried everything from foam to feathers and nothing like that worked. Fluffy but durable. I'll contact you in a month to let you know if it's still supported, but I suspect the layers will work for years to come. If so, then I'll buy two more for an overnight stay. ---------------------- ----- --------- A few months later: I took off 2 more layers and now it's perfect for side sleeping (for me). I still like it, it still holds its shape and with only 3 layers removed I can buy another and make 2 more pillows out of it. (with a zipped cushion cover, easy to find at Ikea or even Revain) An additional zipped cover is supplied with your order to store layers.
