Doesn't work with USB
Bought this cable to use Asus ZenDrive (optical CD/DVD drive) to the new 13-inch MacBook Pro M1, which only has USB-C ports. The cable doesn't work. The MacBook does not mount the Asus drive, ie it does not "see" it. This Asus ZenDrive is a few years old with a 2016 MacBook (USB-A ports) and it works fine (Apple Support as usual no replies).
