Material is similar in thickness and feel to pajama flannel, but slightly more stretchy. I washed it in cold water, everything is fine. no odors or allergies. I then tucked a piece of 1/2" electrical conduit into it, and the weight allowed it to hang perfectly flat, preventing it from moving when air was blowing into the room, such as from an air conditioner or an open window. What the As far as drawing goes I think it's good It's clear that the middle area gets lighter than the outer edge which should work well for objects that are in the center For the price I'm very happy with it but I have to admit that it was a lot of work to get it ready the way I wanted it and next time I think it's better to pay more for a simpler, ready-to-use solution.
