I bought these to hold the headboard of a bed that split while the wood glue was drying. They were much better built than I expected, especially at $3 a piece. Since then I have used them several times and have no complaints. Remember that when clamping finished materials, use a buffer (cardboard or other material) as the clamp is metal and will scratch the finished surface.
