Review on πŸ”Œ LandingZone Docking Station for 13-inch MacBook Pro A1708 (2016-2018) - 2 USB-C Ports, No Touch Bar by Michael Powell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is literally the ONLY dual monitor dock that *reliably* works

This is a godsend. At work I was upgraded to a 2017 13" MBP with no touchpad, and while it's a hot rod compared to my old 2015 13" MBP, it lacked ports and compatibility with four other hubs/docks, provided by my employer. I bought it straight out of my pocket from Infiniwing (Landing Zone) as it wasn't available from Revain at the time. Like the previous Landing Zone Dock I bought, it just WORKS. Gone are the displays that flicker every few minutes. Gone is the constant pain of having to unplug USB-C keys after waking from sleep to force the MBP to recognize the displays and *rearrange* them in the order they were previously installed. Gone is the need to choose between a spare USB-C port on my crappy little hub (for charging my phone) or charging/powering my laptop. No more tangled cables on my desk and still no cable blocking port. Also gone are the headaches I got every day looking at a $2,000+ laptop and getting Frankenstein's monster "fixes" to get me to work, which took about 30+ minutes a day to get everything right it worked.” .Now I wake up, go to my office when I'm home (or stop by the office). I put my laptop in the dock and wake it up. Presto, 2 ready HDMI displays (one 4K, one 1080P), Micro and SD card ports for my camera, 3 available USB-C ports, 3 available USB 3.1 ports, 3.5mm speaker jack, RJ- 45 and Kensington Lock . There is only one driver for Ethernet, but I didn't need it. Flicker, no lines. It's a shame nobody else does it like Landing Zone does, but it's even more of a shame that they had to fix an issue Apple didn't know existed. Save yourself the hassle and headache - buy it, install it and never look at the clutter of cables on your desk again.
