Review on Brolly Ultra-Durable ☂️ and Compact Windproof Travel Umbrella by Cynthia Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far well suited for ultralight tours.

I bought this to try because my last Chrome Dome clone (Eurochirm) broke in an AZT storm and then Zpacks messed up sending me a new one. Really enjoyed using one on PCT. At 3 ounces that's a huge weight saving - now there's SMD carbon fiber at 7 ounces and then the regular at 8 ounces. I recently used it on a few days or two of east coast hikes in the woods rain. Also in a few city showers. While it works very well, the dome isn't big, but adequate. Sliding out the folded part on the spikes is no problem at all. Definitely a lot cheaper than the Montbell version and it weighed exactly 3 ounces on my scale. Not sure about the shading factor yet - the fabric is a bit see-through but I went with black and hope for the best. Feeling confident enough to take this to CT this summer for some quick high altitude rain.
