As many other reviewers have noted, the quality of this replacement head is inferior to the original. I also found that the replacement head doesn't snap open as easily, but with a little extra pressure and manipulation, it snaps into place and stays in place throughout the shave. In direct comparison, the plastic tabs used to hold the blades appear to be of lower quality than the original. Most notably, I found the blades didn't slide as smoothly as the original. It's just a slightly rougher experience. As a result, I don't shave as closely. This may improve over time, but this is another first impression that seems to indicate the use of inferior materials. The razor is a little louder than the original blades, but not enough to be a problem. Just another comparison. All in all - they work and are probably a good replacement. I have used Norelco/Philips in all my years of shaving and this is definitely the least happy shave I have ever experienced. Maybe it's time to try another manufacturer. Maybe.
