The kit has everything you need. Whether it is surface mount or pole mount, you will have no trouble installing this siren. Once you've decided how you want to mount it, you need to screw in a very small screw. This small screw does not allow you to quickly remove the siren from the bracket. The charging port is under the rubber plug on the bottom. Siren sounds like the old school siren everyone knows. The siren changes its tone and frequency when switched on, sounds like a car alarm. The remote control has a good range and it is not known how long the battery will last. Since it notifies you with a beep when it's low, remembering to charge it shouldn't be a problem.
