Works great as a simple cheap stand
It's very simple. Great for highway driving, but not so good when driving stop-and-go or on bumpy roads. I actually have 2 of these and I have one at home on my desk as a little coaster and it works great. My only complaint is that the surface is quite sticky/tacky initially and I wish it was a bit stiffer in shape. But other than that, it does exactly what it's supposed to!
