He loves to dunk his head under the water. The brim folds down and he cannot see.It does have a chin strap which I like since it helps prevent him from taking it off.The material is sort of thick and may be too hot once the summer months really begin in Houston.For some reason I thought the size of the hat was adjustable but it turns out only the chin strap is "adjustable." Meaning if your cutie patootie has neck rolls vs your sister's baby has a skinny neck you can adjust the chin strap to fit both kids.If you are looking for something light like the Banz hat with a chin strap this is NOT IT. Maybe I will get a Banz hat and sew on a chin strap.
