Very small in hand; not 3.5mm jack

I need a 3.5mm PA mic, is it only 2.5mm? So it doesn't fit in my car radio. Also, it is very small in hand and looks like holding a child's toy. My hands aren't even that big. The quality seems good, but the size of the connector is not the standard size of your laptop, ipod or car stereo (just as an example).
