Review on Eartec UL4D UltraLITE Wireless Microphone by Rip Twin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Pretty good value for money

So I bought a 4-user system. I use it as a car headset for my Can Am Maverick Max. I have to say it does a pretty good job. THE GOOD: They're light, the battery seems to last more than the duration of a day trip, and charges very quickly. The headband is suitable for wearing a baseball cap. The sound is pretty good and you can still hear what's going on around you. The charger that comes with 4 users is an 8 battery charger which is awesome! Thanks to the manufacturer who did his best! Well padded 4 headset case really fits ALL 4 HEADSETS! There's room for batteries and a charger, and you don't have to call your tech to figure out how to pack everything in the bag. Thank you for not skimping on the size of the bag. Microphones work great. NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT: The foam ear pads could be a bit thicker and a bit bigger for more comfort. which has a simple slide switch. Nothing works when the master is off. So how difficult would it be to turn off other headsets when the master is off? If you forget, the battery will run out. You can't hear your voice very well during a call, but other users can hear you well. The lack of feedback from your own voice makes you want to scream, which makes the problem worse as everyone lowers the volume and everyone speaks louder. A little more feedback would be nice. The battery cover is very weak and not easy to open or close, and of course you don't want your kids playing with it, but it's recommended to take the battery out when you're done during the day, so this door gets a lot of use. I see broken doors in my future. I hope they can be replaced. CONCLUSION: I used them every day during a week long trip where I had the opportunity to charge them daily and the total trip was less than 6 hours a day. I haven't had a single battery drain, but I'll buy a few spares to have on hand just in case. They are easy to keep clean with no sharp edges snagging on everyday wipes. The price of $800 is steep. but significantly less than the alternatives for my use but so far I feel the value is there. So far I am very happy with the purchase. A NOTICE. If I were a hardcore Maverick rider it would NOT be conducive to this type of use. . Save money and buy race radios and headsets. If you are a trail rider this is PERFECT and is 1/3 to 1/5 the price. Hope that helps.
