I have an English Bulldog that chews everything. We have done a lot of research on cooling blankets and have moved away from gel blankets because of the chemicals in the gel. I half expected this comforter to be mediocre. To my delight and surprise, I was wrong! This blanket feels so cold! That's incredible. BUT, if you're looking for that blanket to use in the sun, make sure you bring it inside where your dog is ready to lay down. If you leave it in the sun it loses its coolness to the point of being unusable and you have to take it out of the sun to cool it down again. I bought 2. We never take one out of bed and I take the other one outside. I leave the one I take with me outside, right in front of the air conditioner, until we get out. 5 stars all day! By the way, I never got free stuff for a review.
