They're as soft as microfiber makeup remover, but I like them better because they're made of cotton and bamboo. I feel confident using them around my eyes to remove eye makeup and they really hold what is being removed allowing me to use a circle all over my face without just smudging. They also dispense micellar water which I use so well! I didn't have to pump as hard as I would with a disposable cotton cartridge or any other refillable brand I've tried before. I just wish I had another round or two, no cotton swabs. Tampons are fine. A bit rough but it's free so I didn't care. The bag is big enough that you can wash them all at once. I personally like that they are dark gray because I don't have to see all the makeup being washed off. I FEEL like it's off and my skin looks so bright and soft after using these curves. I'm very happy with it!
