I'm a child of the 70's and have fond memories of the cast iron Dinky Toys of my youth. After watching a few episodes of Star Wars Rebels I found the Ghost Ship to be a really cool ship and thought if I could find a cast iron model of it I would love to buy it. I searched the net and found this. There's no precise description of whether or not it's cast iron, but looking back now and knowing how things are made these days, I should have realized it was plastic, not cast iron. When I received it and asked my son to open it I was a little disappointed when he confirmed it was plastic. I was about to return it but my son really liked the way it looked. After looking at it, I agreed that it was VERY nicely detailed. If I had known when I ordered it that it was made of plastic, I would have been very happy. As it didn't live up to my admittedly mis-formulated expectations I didn't want it, BUT my son enjoyed it VERY much. So now it belongs to my son and everyone is happy.
