It was great for my baby. She's the third child and we can't stay home all summer. This will help her get her to a safe place (she's not crawling yet). We put it in our pool house and use it as is on the beach. She even flew away with stakes when I pulled her out of her on a windy day. I don't like stacking things like that, but the instructions on the bag are very helpful. In my experience, it's not easy to fold while holding the baby, but you can unfold it. I wasn't sure if we would get much use out of it but I'm glad I decided to buy it because we did. I think a one year old fits easily because my two year old can squeeze in. So maybe next year we can use it to sleep in (although I might be crazy thinking I can get one of my kids to sleep when their siblings are playing.)
