So I've had this backpack for about 2 years now. He carried and continues to carry all of my gear. For the price I bought it for (about $60) it did its job well. Not surprising, just fine. The problems that have arisen in recent years are that the cages are starting to get soft and can no longer support weight. Luckily you can buy new ones, but at this point you should just invest in a better bag. The straps have never been great and I would not recommend this bag if you are going on a long hike that is very stiff with little padding. The waterproof cover that comes with the kit still works and is holding up well. It just won't connect to the clip holding it at the back, but it's still there, just not tight. The seams and pockets are not torn or frayed, so the build quality is good. I recommend it if you are a beginner photographer and want a good bag for beginners. Or when you are in distress and need a bag.
