Is this normal?: Tops, t-shirts and blouses

Received my shirt today, it was in a sealed bag, took it out, tried it on and it's GREAT, soft and fits perfectly BUT it is as if the fabric was "pulled" in a sealed pouch where they were ruffled. Are all shirts airtight packed? I love the shirt but not in this fabric. I just didn't know if it was normal, washed off or not. I didn't want to wash it, then they don't come out and return it.
