See attached photo. This works with an M1 MacBook Air, in this image I have an M1 MacBook Air powered by the USB-C port and the monitor is connected to the second USB-C port. In this configuration, you must connect the monitor's separate and included power supply. The monitor doesn't receive both video and power from the MacBook Air over a single USB-C cable. I tried this with both USB-C ports on the monitor. The monitor has two USB-C ports, one for power and one for video. It was a bit of a shame because now I don't have any ports on the Air to connect anything else. If you have an external USB-C hub, this gives you more connectivity options. My setup also works with an Aukey USB-C hub and a Roadom monitor connected to the USB hub via the included HDMI port. So. This also works via USB-C hubs with HDMI, giving you a few extra ports if you need them. I've only had the monitor for an hour or two, but so far I like it. Good quality. It also fits perfectly with my Satechi stand for my iPad Pro. It's nice that it comes with an iPad-style magnetic sleeve that doubles as a stand. I haven't seen any reviews showing this working with the new Apple Silicon Macs and wanted to post this. :)
