I tried your other holder, I liked it a lot, but due to the position of the air vent, it partially covered the information screen on my car model. I saw this improved model and decided to try it. I'm glad I did. It's easier to attach to an air vent, but more importantly, it no longer obscures the information and control screen. It also comes with a suction cup option. I've tried this and it works great too. When they talk about military rank, they are not kidding. The thing is solid. You can't go wrong.
