This is exactly what I was looking for, something big enough for a laptop. The tray's dining area is made of durable plastic that appears to be quite durable. I use it when I draw/draw and paint with watercolor pencils. I use it to write letters, work on a book or read. That would also be fantastic as the person isn't always working at a desk and it helps you not hunched over your laptop while you work, I think it will help avoid back problems etc in the long run. The only real complaint I have is that the legs don't lock into place. For me this is not an obstacle, and I like the tray so much that I can deal with the problem of the legs. Overall I'm very happy with this tray and for the money it's a great buy.
