I bought this to wear when walking my dogs - I need pockets to carry my accessories and this vest has them . It's heavier than I realized when I ordered it. It's not a warm jacket but I think it would be too much of an extra layer for the hot summer nights I live in. Zippered side pockets are a decent size. And there is an even larger open inner pocket which is great for carrying stuff. The zippers seem strong. It appears to be well made with a few threads sticking out which only speaks to a rotten finish. For me the chest was too tight and the shoulders were too broad so they covered my shoulders and gave them a rounded look. Come back because the big one will have big shoulders. Medium Measurements: - Shoulders: 16 inches side to side. Bust: 20 inches from armpit to armpit. Hips: 20 inches side to side. Imagine how much fewer returns retailers would have if they simply gave us women this information - and manufacturers already have it as parts are cut to size. This is one of the great mysteries of the apparel industry - the inability to provide the customer with the information they need to make a correct purchase. If these measurements work for you then this is a good buy.
