I first wore these socks in 2001! I didn't believe my girlfriend when she said I needed good "moisture wicking" socks for hiking. I bought a pair. despite the cost (which seemed ridiculous to me because I always bought old packs of six white tubes). I have 7 pairs of these which I bought between 2001 and 2005. I wear them about 4 days a week on average as I don't wear them on weekdays. NOT ONE pair has worn out over the years (below a 300 pound guy!). Everything is almost new except for two pairs. Sure, they're not as soft as day one, but they're in incredible shape, still fit and work, and yes, they absorb sweat. I have two pairs that are finally starting to wear out the cuffs. I also have huge calves. I find these socks well worth the money and incredibly comfortable. No other brand I've bought since has lasted even a few years and they certainly don't fit. I just got 3 new pairs (which, like I said, are the first pairs I've bought in at least 7 or 8 years). The fit is the same, they feel the same and they look the same. Only time will tell if they've changed the quality of "quiet" like so many other things these days. But for the durability and quality they have given me, they deserve another shot. I only wish the shoes and boots could be worn a little better. Update 4 months after I received the socks they seem to be the same as I bought some years ago back sir they are good! Keep it up TorLo.
