I am happy with my wallet. The one pictured next to this new one is the one I used before. The previous wallet lasted 5 years. It was about the same price. The predecessor (different brand) had good reviews, but I was admittedly skeptical about this old one when I bought it, but lo and behold, I only buy a new one after 5 years. THIS wallet, here Alpine Swiss, looks a lot sturdier. One of the main differences is that this new one doesn't have an outer shell to show your ID without having to open your wallet. I didn't miss it. Actually, it's a lot nicer to think that my ID is as safe as anything else, safe in the zip pocket. At first my biggest concern was that there is a small hole where the zipper track ends when fully closed. This is shown in the photo of the wallet, taken from above with the wallet open. When closed, this small gap is still present. This bothered me because I always (every day) carry two small pill capsules in my wallet. These are not hard capsules and are about the length of a popular brand of regular strength acetaminophen that we might call "Tyler All". I sent the wallet back almost immediately but decided to at least try it first. Well, here I am reviewing the product after about three months. I have not seen any lost or crushed pills. I haven't lost any money or cards. One day I got wet in the rain, but the contents of my wallet didn't get wet. I also sanded at a beach concert, my wallet was in my front pocket as always, and the only place I didn't have sand was in my wallet. I am definitely happy with the product and after 3 months I bet it will last longer than my previous wallet which speaks volumes for the build quality and feel. If you're on a fence, take action. Stay safe there!
