When I was making roman blinds for my grandson's nursery, I didn't want to use rope for fear of hurting him. So I decided to use magnets. And these are strong enough! From a design perspective, it was difficult to line up each magnet with its "partner" to hold the bottom half of the curtain, but once that issue was resolved the magnets worked great! When I sewed the blinds on I had a hard time keeping them from sticking to the needle plate of my sewing machine and when I hung them they "found" the metal on the stool and stuck to it! If I wasn't so happy with their work, I would be very angry!
