The main purpose of this is to protect the Fitbit screen, and it does that. No issues using the touchscreen and no issues charging. I have a stable that is very dusty. Dust gets between the screen and protective film. You need to remove the protective film regularly to get rid of the dust. Each time this is done, the profile's fit becomes weaker. I wouldn't use it in water either. It is not designed to be taken off and put on again and again. So far I had to uninstall it twice in 2.5 months. So I don't expect it to last 1 year. UPDATE: Had to buy a new kit as the original was too loose. With a new set, it begins to loosen and won't stay in place. I only want to order the black ones, the transparent ones make the Fitbit cheap. They protect the FitBit screen, but look for something better when they get too loose to use them.
