The fan seemed great and worked well until it just stopped a month after installation. It has a guarantee, but it has to call several places: Amazon, the supplier, and then Minka. Once you get the part number from Minka, you should call the supplier back. The replacement part was sent a few days later but without instructions. I had to pay a contractor to install the part and he had to take the whole fan apart to find the part. The warranty doesn't cover the labor, which is the most expensive part. Then it still doesn't work after installation. I could just buy another fan. but then I would have to pay someone to install it. The general reviews seemed good, but when you look at the bad reviews, it's THE problem. The hassle is NOT worth the chance of it breaking. Buy something else.
