I have this on my exhaust manifolds, top pipe (Y-pipe), down pipe (4") CAC pipe(s) and wiring (new, no need to join) . I would say don't take any tool to tighten the tape, useless and even counterintuitive honesty. An alternative lifestyle pair of tongs (ladies, as my dad called them) is perfect for wrapping and cutting in one go. People said to use water, I didn't feel the need. Latex gloves and a solid set of overalls or paint suits will be the final step in keeping the air hose off you. Smoke after installation. I can't confirm durability as I just got my 6ohshit from a restoration. I think he will hold up well. I used zip ties to hold the wrapper and folded the ends under to keep it from unraveling. Put on the SS tapes, USE TWO on each end, no need to save and do it again. Serious. Then cut the zippers, it will be easier. Air hose yourself and a shower, no need to itch!
