So far I'm happy with it. I wanted baby car seats that weren't plastic and wouldn't break if dropped. I'd like to address what I've read in other reviews: some reviews said they weren't stainless steel, which is notable for their lightness and weight. the fact that magnets do not stick to them. If they are indeed Type 200 stainless steel shells, then they are chrome manganese metal. Chromium manganese contains very little nickel, so little that magnets are not attracted to it. It is considered safe and contains less nickel than other food grade stainless steels. However, they do not contain nickel like 400 series stainless steel. There is little to no nickel in your food when you place hot food in these bowls. But baking with them at high temperatures will likely ruin your bowls and leach nickel into your baked goods. This is why they are advertised as rice bowls and not cooking or baking bowls. I think they work well for rice, soup or similar foods as the heat from the food doesn't reach the outside wall of the bowl due to an air pocket in the bowl. Great for little hands. And way better than the type of chemicals and amount of chemicals that would leak out if it was plastic. But that's not the case. I also advise against washing them in the dishwasher and, as a precaution, do not store products containing citrus fruits any longer. 200 stainless steel is known to be lighter and less expensive. Production due to the low nickel content. So yes they are cheap. But mostly for the price, not the quality. I didn't give them five stars because I'm a skeptic by nature and there's no practical way to verify if these bowls are 200 stainless steel or plated stainless steel. But both are better than plastic, so I'm satisfied.
