I ordered this docking station for work. I manage several wildlife photography databases and the time it took to back up data and transfer files to external hard drives and SD cards was extremely time consuming. Especially since my computer only had two USB ports and I had to unplug my mouse and keyboard for every backup. This docking station changed the rules of the game. Now I can keep all my projects connected to my computer without changing them when switching projects, and backups are much faster and more convenient. And the additional SD card slot allows me to multitask. The docking station is quiet, but gets a bit warm under load. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
