When it worked, it worked very well. It was bright enough because it wasn't USB powered like many backlights. The colors were a little wonky but I mainly used white so it was ok. Applying it was a twisted nightmare. It's not made for TVs, so be prepared to be disappointed. I couldn't find any Hamlite apps so you need to scan your device to get the app. Eventually I must have uninstalled it because I searched it and tried all popular highlight apps on my phone but none of them could manage this device. So I unplugged the device to get at the controller and whoops! It's completely dead now. I'll probably buy a more legal backlight as I liked the effect, but the thing is basically cheap junk with a limited lifespan and no support.
