I bought this hoping I could fit a slim, athletic woman (5ft 4in, 112lbs) and so happy I did! I had surgery to repair my torn skier's left thumb, resulting in damage to my right shoulder from overuse. Doctor thinks overuse caused bursitis so I took lots of ibuprofen - not good for the stomach! After buying this my shoulder improved 50% in <2 weeks and cut down on ibuprofen. Without a brace, I re-injured my shoulder doing housework and playing sports, which put a lot of strain on my shoulder that it never wanted to heal. I wear it comfortably over a t-shirt.
