We used them for the under kitchen cabinet lighting and placed them about 12 inches apart, the light is dimmer than expected but definitely bright enough, also a bit bluish not warm at all (daylight option ). At the location we chose, there were a lot of extra cables that we had to coil up tightly and attach to the bottom of the closet along with the light, transformer, and switch. There is a lot going on there, but everything is subtle and invisible or almost invisible. One light was more visible because it was under a faux corner cabinet that was smaller and looked like a flashlight, so we angle it back a bit with a tiny piece of folded cardboard, which solved the problem. We used the included sticky pads to stick all the pieces onto it, one of which kept falling off, so we used the little Command Velcro Ride we already had. The installation went as expected, it was quite easy as the pre-wiring was already done. Overall we're happy with it, we think it makes our kitchen that much nicer and we love the dimming feature. We would buy them again, value for money.
