Contrary to the description, the grips are not contoured for the left hand, the axle looks like a screw but is a rivet and is very loose. It can be tightened with a hammer, but great care must be taken not to overtighten. The cutting edge of the blades is rounded unevenly, requires significant sharpening, but they are hard enough to be durable, but they are inconvenient to use when the blades are in the cutting zone because of large friction. My $.69 scissors work better. I had a pair of left handed JC Penny shears bought circa 1962, they were chrome carbon steel and they were great but someone stole them. They are terrible compared to them.
