This could be done better - take a look at the Brownmed Cool Stretch Tension Night tire

I ordered this Brownmed model and the Brownmed Cool Stretch Tension Night tire. The Cool Stretch model does not have side straps like this one and this one attaches at a 90 degree angle. Both tires have an expertly designed ice pack that folds down to fit your foot and ankle snugly. Neither of them are made for walking, but I think they should be able to get me to and from the bathroom in the middle of the night. The original (this one) flexes at the ankle, making quick trips to the bathroom easier, HOWEVER, the bottom of this model is covered in a t-shirt jersey that's simply glued in some places and sewn in others. This fabric looks like it will snag or come loose after a few trips down the hallway. Even the friction of getting out of bed and putting your feet on the floor can get caught on this material. Getting on and off this hoop is a little awkward as you have to attach the side straps. Side straps with black Velcro. The black calfskin strap is slightly heavier and has a buckle, but is still quite thin. All Velcro fasteners on padded straps look glued. The cool-stretch outsole (others) is made of hard plastic with small vinyl or neoprene treads. The straps are made of durable nylon with buckles instead of Velcro. Soft straps are equipped with sewn-in Velcro. Cool Stretch looks better than this model. Although it doesn't flex at the ankle, I'm sending the original back and keeping the cool stretch. If my doctor says I need more stretch than 90 degrees, I can add a small dry sponge to the wedge that comes with the kit.
