I am in my late 40s, have adult cystic acne and I have four teens and teens who also have acne. We like to use patches for acne care at night. I have a hard time finding big ones that are big enough to cover my cystic acne and they are too small, but they work well for my daughter's whiteheads and teenage acne. One thing I REALLY like is that tea tree oil is included in the formula and it seems to get rid of pimples faster than those that don't. They are standard thickness and stay in place overnight. In fact, there were a few times they seemed to be holding up too well. . . If the pimple is open and healing, the scab will be removed immediately. .The patches are mainly used to cleanse the face, apply to the pimple and leave on overnight. For blackheads, this draws out the pus and turns the spot white. One application is often enough to get rid of them. For my cystic acne, this is more of a relief than a cure. . . often they have to be pierced to get anything out, and although they're flat and feel good in the morning, they fill up during the day and need to be patched up again at night. While most brands say you can wear them during the day, I wouldn't recommend this. They're hard to miss when they turn white.
