I've read the reviews so I was hopeful, but some of the criticisms regarding the snug fit and my oversized size cast me as a Mr. Pitts from Seinfeld and quite picky about things on socks. .To let you know: 1. They fit snugly but not snugly on my normal size 10 foot. So they work for me, but if you're wide or taller I might find it appropriate to be narrow as they don't extend much beyond my size. 2. They're soft, not prickly, which I like.3. They are thick and well padded. Very comfortable but keeps you warm as they don't breathe like thinner socks.4. They're big enough to comfortably clear the trunk, but not too big. I'm 6ft and they reach me just above mid-calf. Overall great socks and now I'm buying more.
