I have bought this shoe many times as it is a uniform for my daughter's school. I usually find the good shoes. On the last pair I ordered, my daughter said she had an 'ache in her shoe'. I pulled her leg out, looked and saw nothing. I told her there was nothing and sent her to school. She walks home, her toes say her foot hurts all day. She takes it off and says feel mom, here's something. I can feel the sole of the shoe on the heel and of course it is very sharp. I rip out the insole and look down and to my horror there are 4 braces sticking straight up! You go straight to the foot. The poor thing wore shoes like that all day. I contacted Revain and they sent a great replacement. You buy these shoes, feel the inside first to make sure nothing is pierced, and if your child says something pierces them, check.
