I used this in the large size for my Fozzie bear this Halloween. He only left it on for photos (which we expected). The hat and rope are strong and weren't too tight so they didn't hurt our pup. The rope has dog-ear slots, but you can omit them if you don't want to use them. Generally satisfied! Just wish there was a brown option as it would go better with the suit but no big deal.
