Review on Probiotic Enriched 12-Ounce Nutri-Vet Milk Replacement for Kittens by Barbara Bailey

Incredible new find! love this product!

I have been rescuing kittens for about 10 years and in that time I have bottle fed and weaned about 100 litters. I am a loyal customer of KMR. I thought it was the best there was and didn't deviate from it too often unless I had a particular problem and usually only when the vet recommended a brand change. Those of you who have experience with bottle feeding know that hand raising kittens is poop management. I'm sorry I offended you. Diarrhea is drying and will cause the kitten to fall asleep within a few hours. Hard stools make babies gassy, uncomfortable, restless eating and constant crying. KMR produces golden yellow droppings. We call it "KMR Poo". It rarely forms and for all these years I thought it was normal for babies and just something to deal with. It's pretty gross to stimulate a baby who has loose stools, and you have to bathe the babies constantly because they stain themselves and their littermates with yellow feces. Just recently, one of my adoptive parents asked me if I had tried Nutri-Vet milk replacer before. I told her I had never heard of it. She told me that all of her babies had well-formed brown poop (small brown nuggets), were happy, and were growing steadily. I was curious so I bought my first jar. I was blown away by the fantastic results. None of the kittens in any of the litters had stool problems. No golden poo, no diarrhea, no gas, just nice little brown balls. I am currently bottle feeding 4 litters of this brand and think I have switched brands. I'm very glad I switched. An added bonus is that it's cheaper!
