I have never hung a hammock and this had to be hung from the ceiling. The instructions that come with the hammock are pretty minimal so I searched the internet. It's all pretty confusing, but I'd pretty much do what those minimal instructions say, plus a bit of trial and error. I've only had the hammock for a week, but it looks well made. It seems to behave like a hammock should. I have already ordered the larger version, Texsport "El Rio", because I would like to sleep in it. "La Paz" is a bit small to stretch out diagonally, so better for sleeping or reading in a hammock. I have to say for $20 it's a pretty good deal. This is a very good way to find out if you really need a hammock or not!
