This is a good hat to wear around, but don't expect much if you value quality. Not bad, not great. A loop of thread immediately protruded from a seam. Not a very good start. Although the material is soft, I would describe it as a bit thin. But I think it's not too far for this price range. My head is 57 cm (just under 22.5 inches) in circumference and I was able to adjust the strap for my comfort. So the size is the same as declared or close to it. So that's a plus. Unfortunately, that's more than I can say for most sellers I've encountered in this market, but I digress. If you consider black, note that mine turned out to be about 2 tones lighter than the photos. More like a medium charcoal gray than a faded but still black look as pictured. To use the zone system in black and white photography which is a scale from 0 to 10 where 0 is pure black, the image is 1 and my hat is almost a 3. (Google image search will turn up plenty of links if you need it) Looks like the two seams that end above the temples are longer than the rest, resulting in an outward bulge halfway up, followed from an inner buckle just above the hat band. This gives the hat a sloppy front look rather than a clean, rounded silhouette, better than a low-cut hat. Not quite what I expected at this price. It's just a cheap hat, that's all. Probably good enough for youngsters, but definitely not exhibition ready.
