First of all, these are quality socks. They are comfortable nonetheless. I wear women's shoes 7.5, I usually buy children's socks, but these seem to me to be narrower on the foot than usual. Also, I wore them barefoot in the driveway and the little threads snagged and pulled, pulling a lot of threads out of the socks. I was very surprised, but I don't often wear socks without shoes. They are lined, don't wear them if you don't like the padding or the little closure that wraps around a small part of the foot.
