This is my first cooler I've added after buying a gaming laptop. When I saw 5 fans, one of which was huge, I thought it would sound like a hurricane. Not so. This cooler is quiet and the sound has a deep tone and fades into the background. Laptop fans run louder. For the money this is a very good investment. Heat slows laptops down, and for the fact that it cools very well, it's thin, ultra-light, and quiet. Perfect!
