No such plastic noise
Bought for grandparents cot. I didn't want to wear a regular waterproof mattress topper. Too bad I just bought them for her nursery. They are very soft - much better than the branded ones I have. Due to the impregnation, the underside feels a bit plastic, but doesn't make a plastic noise, while the top is made of normal cotton. They wash well (I was afraid they would melt or warp) and I highly recommend this brand.
