Any crease in the packaging will permanently damage the protective film. The manila envelope does not protect against damage in transit, and permanent raised creases will appear on screen protectors after application. The protective film has a raised crease that creates a permanent bubble. The screen protectors themselves would be great if they weren't a little rough. You feel quite a noticeable resistance with your fingers, and the protectors destroy the pen tips of the Surface Pro 3. After a few strokes, you will see that the pen tip starts to break. If the screen protectors weren't so rough I would return the damaged package and try again. The price is good enough so I can't recommend not trying them out. However, I will look for something similar but better.
