They are well made and have not yet fallen apart with normal use. The poles are made of plastic and are more durable than most similar items. They're too long to fit in my eyeshadow case, but I just stick them out and it works. On the plus side, the length makes them easy to work with without messing up the end you don't use, and the four surfaces per tampon are handy.
