The price of these mechanical constructions makes them great to put together and get kids playing with, a bit rougher than some other more complex Lego sets that break , if you look the wrong way you. We have this one, Thor, Cap and Iron Man and my little boys (3 and 4) will be fighting them and the pieces will be scattered across the living room floor. The consistency of design means they are very easy to put together and a 4 year old can usually put them all together without having to look at the instructions again, or will sometimes mix and match so Cap has one of Thor's arms and one Hammer can hold or some other crazy hybrids.
